DAVID MOORE
CANDIDATE - ILLINOIS SEC. OF STATE
17th ward Alderman for the city of Chicago, David Moore is a candidate for the Illinois Secretary of State.
Experienced in governmental affairs and finance, Moore established a successful accounting career in the private sector at several Fortune 500 companies, as well as with Chicago’s Department of Aviation, Chicago Housing Authority and he also served as an assistant to the commissioner of the Cook County Board of Review, coordinating Faith-based and Community Initiatives.
The alderman, who was elected in 2015, is a native Chicagoan who spent his childhood in the Robert Taylor Homes before moving to the Englewood and Auburn-Gresham communities. Upon completing Simeon Vocational High School, he graduated WIU with a dual major in accounting and operations management. He earned an MA with emphasis in government studies at Loyola University-Chicago.
JOHN CONNOR
CANDIDATE-WILL COUNTY CIRCUIT 12 JUDGE
Update: John was elected to the Will County Circuit 12 in the November 2022 election.
Born and raised in Joliet, John graduated from Joliet Catholic high school, and subsequently the University of Notre Dame, going to law school at the University of Illinois in Champaign.
After working briefly for a law firm on the island of Saipan, near Guam, he returned to Will County permanently in 1997 as his younger brother Matt was losing his battle with malignant melanoma. He then joined the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor, leaving for a brief time to be an Assistant Attorney General in the High Tech Crimes Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
John has served 2 terms as Representative for the 85th District in Illinois and 1 term as a Senator for the 43rd District .
He is now running for Judge for the 12th Circuit in Will County.

Evelyn is an accomplished attorney who served as the 47th Lieutenant Governor of Illinois, becoming the first Latina Lieutenant Governor in the United States. She most recently served as the Executive Director of HOPE Fair Housing Center.

FOUNDER - RESHORING INITIATIVE
Harry Moser is the founder of the Reshoring Initiative. For his seminal work in encouraging manufacturers to reshore or bring manufacturing back to the United States, Harry has been inducted into the Industry Week Hall of Fame, which boasts stalwarts like Lee Iaccoca.
The Reshoring Initiative was started in Illinois as the Midwest Reshoring Initiative and quickly evolved into a national effort.

John A. Runion, Sr. started his professional career as a Police Officer
for the Village of Hanover Park in May 1979. He held various positions
in the department including Patrol Officer, Investigator and lastly
Sergeant when he retired in May 1999. During his tenure he also

Harper College; his Bachelor’s Degree from Governors State University

Joe is also the founder of the Blue Island Breakers, a non profit that teaches under privileged kids the art of Break Dancing, which is now an Olympic sport.
The Harlem Globetrotters is an American exhibition basketball team. They combine athleticism, theater, and comedy in their style of play. Created by Abe Saperstein in 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, the team adopted the name Harlem because of its connotations as a major African-American community.

David graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. He currently works as a Manager of Regional Inventory for a large distributor where he makes data-based decisions to reduce costs and create win-win solutions for customers.

Dr. Aisha Sethi is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Yale University and Director of the Yale Dermatology Global Health Program. She returned to Yale as faculty after being a faculty member at the University of Chicago for over a decade where she was Director of Outreach for the Center for Global Health.
Dr. Sethi was chosen as an emerging leader by the Chicago Council for Global Affairs Emerging Leaders fellowship program. She served as a member of the Education and Volunteers Abroad Committee and Volunteerism Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology, the International Affairs Committee of the Women’s Dermatological Society, and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Society of Dermatology’s newsletter.

ASIF YUSUF
CANDIDATE- VILLAGE OF OAKBROOK MAYOR
A long time resident of Oakbrook, Asif Yusuf has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics and has taken additional coursework for professional licenses. He is a real estate broker and farmer.
Married to his wife Azra, the Yusufs have 4 children Zain, Farah, Neha and Ali.
Yusuf currently is serving a third consecutive four-year term, and fourth overall, as a trustee of the Village of oakbrook. He was first elected to the board in 2003 and unsuccessfully ran for village president in 2007, before again winning a board seat in 2011. His current term ends in 2023.
“It’s time to offer the people a choice, and I want to be part of that choice,” Yusuf said in explaining why he plans to run next year for village president.
Asif considers Oakbrooks biggest challenge to be how to protect or even enhance the quality of life Oakbrook residents enjoy without imposing new taxes.
Asif considers himself a team builder and describes his leadership style as respectful and collaborative.
